Pizza!!

You guys! I was given some basil plants and as soon as that happened the first thing that popped into my head was Margherita Pizza! So when i went to the store I bought some tomatoes, shredded mozzarella and I found a pesto that looked delish! Also while in the area where the pesto was I found a Mozzarella salad that had been soaked in Olive oil and some herbs.  Duh, it went into my basket! Does anyone else get to the checkout line and remember ONE THING that you forgot to grab??? Well I had forgotten a pizza crust! A few days later I ran into our local grocery store and grabbed a Pillsbury Thin pre-made crust, went home and got the magic going!

Here is what all I used below. I’m not sure if it was the brands of the products I used or just the combination but I swear this was THE BEST Pizza I’ve ever had! And I am aware that most Margherita pizza’s are made with a tomato sauce but I am obsessed with pesto so I did it my way!

Ingredients:

-Pillsbury Thin Pizza Crust
-Purple and Italian Basil picked from the plant
-Shredded Mozzarella
-Formaggio’s Fresh Mozzarella salad (balls cut in half)
-Giovanni Rana’s Basil Pesto

Directions:

-Bake the crust for the designated time it says on the container (8 mins I believe)
-Top with pesto, sliced tomato, sliced or whole basil, fresh mozzarella and shredded mozzarella
-Bake another 6 mins or until crust is golden and cheese is melted.
-ENJOY and try not to eat the entire thing like I almost did and made my stomach bloated because it was so good!
